Filter & Delete Certain Product Variants

16 Nov 2019 20:37 #5863 by Anson
Hi Support,

1. As the subject, for using the Shopify Excel-like Spreadsheet app,

is it possible to Filter & Delete Certain Product Variants?

2. My case is that I want to Filter & Delete Certain Product Variants without any variant images assigned.
(Note: it's critical to help fix the product image error caused by 3rd-party app)

Please help check and advise the above issues. Thanks.

We added "delete by import" option recently.

You need to have column in your file that has value of "yes" for rows corresponding to products/variants you want to remove.

You can create column in excel and using IF function to set "yes" for such items.

Let's say image is H column and Parent is A column

=IF(A2 && H2="","yes","")

Thanks for your quick reply.

Please advise:

1. Could you provide CSV/XLSX template file for "delete by import"?

2. Where could we import the file for "delete by import"?
Is it in the below screen and what box is needed to be ticked?
ibb.co/fDnbDGF

3. For using "delete by import", how could we get the list of deleted ID/SKU number?

As it's critical for us to get the list for our 3rd party marketplaces removal.
Thanks again.

Hi,

- same file you normally use for import can be used fro removal.
- you just need to add column you will use to tell what products/variants corresponding to rows should be removed.
- you can prepare such column by using excel functions primarily "=IF(...;...;...)" .
Thanks,
